Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Innov8 Security Ltd collects when you contact us, what we do with it, how long we keep it, and what your rights are. It's written in plain English, and it's deliberately short — we don't collect much because we don't need much to give you a quote and install a security system.

Who we are

Innov8 Security Ltd is the data controller for any personal information you give us. Our registered office is Rayner Lodge, Latchmore Bank, Little Hallingbury, Bishop's Stortford, CM22 7PH. What information we collect, and why

When you fill in our contact form, call us, or send us an email, we typically collect:

• Your name — so we know who we're talking to
• Your contact details (email, phone, postcode) — so we can reply, arrange a site survey, and find your property
• Details of your enquiry — the property, the system you want, the problem you've got. Whatever you tell us.

We use this information to respond to your enquiry, arrange and carry out a free site survey, give you a quote, and — if you go ahead — install and maintain your system.

Lawful basis

Where you've contacted us asking for a quote or service, we process your information on the basis of taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract. Where you've engaged us as a customer, we process your information on the basis of contract performance. We don't rely on consent for routine business communication about your enquiry or installation, because those communications are necessary for the service you've asked for.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data and we don't share it with third parties for marketing. We do share it where we have to, in narrow circumstances:

• Our email and form-processing providers — we use standard, GDPR-compliant services (such as Resend) to deliver email enquiries to us. These providers process your enquiry on our behalf and don't use it for their own purposes.
• Alarm receiving centres — if you have a monitored alarm system, we share the contact and keyholder details needed to operate that monitoring.
• HMRC, regulators, NSI — when legally required, or when our accreditation body needs records as part of routine audit.

How long we keep it

For one-off enquiries that don't lead to an installation, we keep your details on file for up to 24 months so we can pick up the conversation if you come back to us, then we delete them. For customers, we keep records of your installation and servicing for as long as you're a customer, plus seven years after — partly because that's what insurance, accounting and NSI accreditation require, partly because long-running servicing relationships need historical records.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy
• Ask us to correct anything that's wrong
• Ask us to delete your information (subject to retention obligations above)
• Ask us to stop or restrict certain types of processing
• Object to processing in some circumstances
• Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you think we've handled your information badly

CCTV systems we install for you

If we install a CCTV system at your property, you become the data controller for any footage that system records. We're the installer, not the operator. We're happy to advise on positioning, retention and signage to keep your system in line with ICO guidance, but the legal responsibility for the footage rests with you. Cookies

This website uses only essential cookies needed to make the site work. We don't use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or cross-site analytics that follow you around the web. We use a privacy-respecting analytics tool to count anonymous visits so we can see which pages are useful — no individual visitor is identifiable.
